Subject:
Early Childhood Education Administration
CUNY’s
NYC Early Childhood Professional Development Institute (PDI) in partnership with the School of Professional Studies is now offering the Children’s Program Administrator Credential (CPAC). Developed by The New York State Association for the Education of Young Children, the CPAC is a credential for current early childhood program directors who desire to be more effective leaders, or require course work to meet the accreditation standards; new directors interested in administrator certification; and the next generation of leaders who require preparation as administrators.
The CPAC is a series of 18 one-credit graduate-level courses designed to address one of the 18 competency areas defined in the Children’s Program Administrator Credential of New York State. Competencies will be demonstrated through applied assignments, enabling each participant to build a required portfolio as progress is made through each of the 18 modules. The modules have been crafted so that participants can take them in whatever order works for their individual situations.
